All students who wish to study in France must follow the Campus France procedure on Etudes en France online platform before applying for a visa.

Visa application process

Students can apply up to 3 months prior to the departure. During the peak period  (from April to August), students are invited to apply as soon as they can, to avoid any delays, since it can take up to 2 weeks to get an appointment.

  1.  First, students must obtain the Etudes en France certificate from Campus France
  2. Then, When your application will be completed.  Please proceed to the next step. For that please consult this document: 

You may be required to apply for a student visa to France. In which case, please register online via the France-Visa platform (choose English on the top righthand side of the page).

Please ensure that you print your acceptance letter from Campus France which can be obtained from your “Études en France” account. This is a required document for your appointment. Please also take along your confirmation of an acceptance to a school in France.

Make an appointment to apply for a student visa at VFS Global ( 79 Anson Rd, # 15-02 );

N.B : Appointments shouldn't be made more than 90 days before the start date of your study program (note that during peak periods, especially June to August and November to January, appointment slots tend to fill up quickly).  In addition, please note that the granting of your student visa is at the sole discretion of the Consulate of the French Embasy.

 

Visas: fees 50€to be paid in SGD only (around 80 to 90 SGD according to the exchange rate).

Required documents for the visa application

The supporting documents to be provided are as follows:

Pre-requisites

  • Application form dated and signed
  • ID photograph
  • If you are not a national of your country of residence: proof that you are legally resident in that country (e.g. residence permit)
  • Travel document issued fewer than 10 years ago, which will remain valid for at least three months after the planned return date and which has at least two blank pages

 Purpose of travel/stay

  • Certificate of pre-registration generated by the EEF-Pastel application, stating the EEF ID number (Campus France)

Accommodation

  • Proof of accommodation for the first three months: hotel reservation or statement/undertaking from the host (establishment/institution or private individual) or explanatory letter from the student.

Funds

  • Proof of a minimum monthly income of €615: certificate of scholarship or bank statement showing a deposit in a French bank account or an undertaking to accept financial liability from a guarantor who must provide proof of adequate, reliable and regular income, as well as a copy of their ID document.

 

Short-stay Visas

Short-stay visas are governed by European regulations. For stays in France shorter than 90 days, Singaporean citizens do not need a visa.
